Doorknockers …
A Colin Van Ostern door-knocker came to the house today. Ayotte had someone up here three weeks ago. Post-FITN, that has been it, so far.
As I’ve said previously, campaign people rarely visit us, for whatever reason.
Mailers? Only four – Van Ostern, an anti-Trump from PPNNE, local Dem Reps/Senate, and Save the Children for Van Ostern. This is a bit of a surprise since we’re super-voters – we vote in every election, including primaries, and have for 13 years in New Hampshire.
At the same time, it means that these primary races are lean and mean – and completely wide open, too. A nice change from the Jeb! bombardment of mailers last year.
I used to speak to all of them but I don’t talk to them now. Especially after getting into a discussion with a Hillary Clinton campaign worker from Massachusetts who believed he had a right to vote in the New Hampshire primary even though he lived in Massachusetts. Vote fraud exists. Period. I know, I’ve seen it with my own eyes.
I shoo campaign people away now. If they push back, I explain that I work in the media and can’t talk to them about anything. That usually gets them to leave.
The Van Ostern doorknocker was fine; I said, “We’re all set, thanks,” and he kept saying, “I just want to make sure you know there is an election.”
“Yup, we do, I have to get back to work, thanks.”
He said it three times. Poor old guy. LOL
